Facial skin is exposed to far more UV light, wind, heat and cold, in contrast to the rest of the body. The skin on the face, especially the areas around the eyes and lips, have a particularly sensitive and fine subcutaneous fatty tissue make-up and therefore need more protection and delicate care.

The properties of jojoba liquid vegetable wax and its valuable ingredients such as fatty acids and vitamins are the ideal, natural care for sensitive facial skin. Because of its non-greasing properties, it is quickly absorbed into the skin, which is revitalized and firmed.

Through its deep penetration into the skin, its binds sebum, regulates the fat and moisture content of the skin and keeps the connective tissue elastic. Especially in winter, facial skin needs suitable care to prevent tears, frail veins and the development of callouses and crusts. In the cold, you should avoid hydrating skin care creams - these freeze within the individual skin pores with extremely cold temperatures and can expand and destroy smaller blood vessels. Jojoba wax does not contain water: the wax does not freeze, but forms a protective film on the skin, which at the same time prevents the skin from drying out due to heating air and cold.

Pure skin oil

Apply the pure, undiluted oil directly to a cleansed face and gently massage it in with your fingertips. Gently pat areas around the eye with the middle and ring fingers. You will soon feel a reduction in the skin tension and soft and well nourished. After only 2 - 3 weeks, the effect is palpable: your skin is more elastic and plump, while small wrinkles are notably reduced.

As an addition to the day care cream

care cream The easiest way to make your own personal care cream is a mixture of jojoba wax with your standard care cream. Mix it either directly on the palm of your hand before use or in a cream jar.

When purchasing the oil, pay special attention to the quality of the oil. The terms “controlled, organic cultivation”, “cold pressed”, “pure”, “natural”, “100% jojoba oil” should be found on the label. High-quality jojoba wax is distinguishable by its golden yellow colour. Another excellent ‘at home’ option is to create a mixture from shea butter and jojoba oil.

Jojoba oil as a make-up remover

make-up remover Pure jojoba oil is an effective make-up remover that effortlessly removes waterproof, fat-soluble mascara. Jojoba is so gentle that it is even suitable for baby skin which is five times thinner than normal skin.

It does not burn your eyes and does not leave behind an oily film. It also does not clog pores and does not dry out the delicate skin around the eyes. On the contrary: with this make-up remover, the skin is cared for simultaneously!

Pour a few drops of oil onto a cotton pad and remove the make-up. Keep your eyes closed. Then wash your eyes and face with warm water thereby moisturizing and spreading the oil over your entire face. Since the oil is so versatile, other care products are redundant and unnecessary. This is very practical when traveling, and is also economical.

For lips

lips Especially in cold and/or dry windy conditions, thin skin dries out quickly and feels dry and brittle. Some people, more commonly women, struggle with this all year round. The causes can be rooted in dry heating air, improper nutrition (e.g. salty snacks, alcohol) or other hereditary factors.

In any case, dry lips need more care to prevent cracks or even open tears. This is not just a cosmetic problem: The resistant herpes virus can enter the skin through fine cracks. In fact it is recommended to moisturize your lips before every visit to the dentist. The lips and corners of the mouth are always over-stretched and slight invisible cracks form, into which bacteria can penetrate.

Many lip care products only help for very short periods time and therefore need to be applied in short intervals. When this stops, paradoxically, the lips become even drier. This is due to the ingredients of the lip balm - many contain the petroleum derivative paraffinum, which creates a soft and mild shiny effect for a short while, but requires reapplication soon subsequent. This is not a permanent solution.

Any natural oil will achieve more permanent results, including jojoba oil, which contains high levels of vitamin E and provitamin A. The special chemical structure of the liquid wax forms a fine, non-greasy protective film on the lips that causes containment of the moisture in the skin and nourishes the lips permanently. The lips feel soft and elastic and exhibit a modest radiance.

Care for your when applying jojoba oil to your face in the mornings. We recommend keeping a small bottle of jojoba oil in your handbag, and applying it to dry lips when necessary.

Our tip for very cold weather or permanently dry lips: Mix pure petroleum jelly with jojoba oil. The additional lipids protects the lips on a more permanent scale and quickly smoothes small skin cracks. This mixture is very helpful after a cold sore, especially if a scab forms, which is very prone to tears. The scab crust becomes soft and elastic and heals faster without tearing.
